glossary
render - to "generate a graphical image from a mathematical model of a three-dimensional object or scene" - basically means draw.
framerate - the number of frames of an animation which are displayed every second. The higher the frame rate, the smoother the animation will appear but the more processing power is required. Sometimes abbreviated fps for "frames per second." Television is 30 fps, movies are 24 fps. 20 or more fps is usually considered smooth, 10 or below is jerky and unrealistic.
